Mobile Health Technologies launches specialized healthcare software.
Agilis Systems, a St. Louis-based developer of work order and workflow management software that turns mobile devices into wireless business platforms, has announced the establishment of a new division, to be known as Mobile Health Technologies.
Mobile Health Technologies (MHT) will cater specifically to professionals in home healthcare, durable medical equipment, pharmaceutical distributors and patient transport providers.
"We recognized that healthcare professionals providing care and services outside of traditional settings, especially those traveling among multiple locations, needed an easier way to access their back office systems," explained Tim Finney, MHT Director of Business Development. "That’s why Agilis decided to create MHT, to focus exclusively on those needs. Our software is compatible with the latest mobile devices."
Mobile Health Technologies employs traditional GPS location-based tracking tools to generate time and location stamps, electronic signature capture, bar code scanning and access to back office forms and policies to field staff. Finney says the system can promote regulatory compliance and create auditable trails for healthcare employees and their companies.
In addition, the system supports picture capture for wound management, payment processing at the point of delivery and visit documentation at the point of care. Customers can choose a mobile device and optional blue tooth-enabled peripherals to pair with Mobile Health Technologies’ modular software components.
Agilis Systems, LLC is a St. Louis-based Software as a Solution (SaaS) company that assists corporate enterprises in mobilizing operations using work order and workflow management systems. Agilis recently won the 2008 North American Product Innovation Award from Frost & Sullivan for its technology.
